  They just don’t build pallet wrappers like they did.  Here is an old (41 years) ITW Mima pallet wrapper that was built in Florida by ITW Mima.  This tank of a wrapper is still going strong and today it got new turntable casters and a service by Quick Pak Inc.  It’s back to wrapping heavy loads of building materials eight hours per day in a very dusty environment.   We are doing service work on three Nitech IPM high profile turntables.   These are very entry level machines that turn the pallet while the operator is using standard hand wrap.   Much better than going around in circles.   This simple machine takes some of the had work out of hand wrapping.   No walking backwards. Here we are wrapping a dark pallet with our WMG20 Opaque White Security wrap. The Revolution PS Wrapper is stretching the opaque film 225% and as you can see it has lost a lot of white opacity. To hide the contents on the pallet you will need to do a 4x4 wrap pattern to cover the dark product on the pallet. Regular maintenance on your PAC strapping machines . To keep your strapping machine running efficiently, it is important to understand the maintenance requirements for semi-automatic versus fully automatic units. With semi-automatic strapping systems, an operator manually feeds the strapping material through the machine and activates the strapping cycle. Fully automatic systems automatically feed and strap packages with minimal operator involvement. For semi-automatic units, inspecting and replacing worn or damaged strapping heads and sealing elements is key. The strapping heads guide the strapping around the package, while the sealing elements heat-seal the strapping. Check that strapping dispensers are feeding properly and replace them when necessary. Lubricate moving parts like feed wheels, tensioners and sealers regularly following the manufacturer's recommendations.
