Black Opaque Security Pallet Wrap

Image
Black stretch wrap (often called security wrap) is a specialized product. While it shares the same Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) base as clear film, the addition of opaque black pigment changes its utility entirely. It is designed for specific problems. Theft Deterrence and Privacy: The most significant selling point for black wrap is security. In supply chains, high-value items are targets. If a pallet containing smartphones, gaming consoles, or branded sneakers sits on a loading dock wrapped in clear plastic, it advertises its value to everyone who walks by. Concealment: Black wrap turns a valuable load into a nondescript black block. A potential thief cannot distinguish between a pallet of expensive electronics and a pallet of office paper. This uncertainty is a powerful deterrent against opportunistic theft. Confidentiality: For businesses shipping prototypes, legal documents, or sensitive products, black wrap ensures that proprietary information remains pr...

Why Use Black Opaque Stretch Wrap

The most immediate and common application for black pallet wrap is security. In the supply chain, the adage "out of sight, out of mind" holds significant weight. When high-value goods like electronics, pharmaceuticals, or branded merchandise are secured with clear film, they can act as a beacon for potential theft. A potential thief cannot determine whether the load contains expensive smartphones or low-value stationery. This uncertainty serves as a powerful deterrent. By concealing the identity of the goods, you significantly reduce the risk of pilferage or full-pallet theft. For warehouses that are running at capacity, storing pallets outdoors in the yard is often a necessity. H...

To hide the contents on the pallet you will need to do a 4x4 wrap pattern to cover the dark product on the pallet. Wrapping your pallets in white opaque stretch wrap is ideal when security and theft is an issue. If your pallet loads are a high dollar value and travel long distances outside your company’s care, opaque white pallet wrap is a great solution. White Opaque Stretch Film is a tamper evident product so you can tell if the pallet load has been broken into. Opaque White stretch wrap is also ideal for wrapping temperature sensitive pallet loads as the white film doesn’t attract the heat. Color coding isn’t the only benefit of using colored stretch films, it can also help with supply chain security by acting as tamper-evident packaging. For example, using black film will prevent pe...
