BOPP Produce Packaging Film

Image
The properties of Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene Film make the packaging application optimal for produce. BOPP packaging film is optimal for produce as it contains anti-fogging properties. Produce BOPP film was specifically developed to allow the right amount of air flow within the bag. The right combination of hot needle perforated with macro punched holes allow adequate air flow which helps prolong shelf life and maintain post-harvest quality. BOPP packaging films are non-toxic, making them safe to be used on all different types of food, including produce. BOPP film is a form of thermoplastic polymer, commonly known as polypropylene plastic (PP), which is 5%. Constructed by stretching the film in two different directions, BOPP film packaging is commonly machine-applied by a horizontal flow wrap machine. BOPP film properties differ from conventional polypropylene because BOPP films are designed to be moisture resistant, have superior strength, and have high clarity. ...

BOPP – Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene Bags

BOPP bags are produced by laminating a reverse printed film to a woven fabric which is then manufactured into a bag. The film is stretched in both the machine direction (MD) and across machine direction (AMD). The result is a material with superior strength at low gauges, flatness, clarity, and excellent printability.  This construction is in high demand due to its strength and superior picture-like print quality. Printing is achieved by applying the inks directly onto the film which is adhered to a woven fabric using a laminate coating. BOPP film is reverse printed, resulting in a protected interior print (between the film and laminate/woven fabric) which will not scratch or be easily damaged during normal use.   The BOPP bag’s appeal includes dimensional stability, maximum water resistance, and high impact graphics that improve marketability, as well as optional anti-skid features. Uses of a BOPP Bag:   Since the BOPP bag is so versatile, its list of uses is infi...

BOPP Film Plain and Custom Printed

Image
Quick Pak Inc’s biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film is a variation of polypropylene and is often used for stickers and labels, among many other uses. BOPP films are also safe, long lasting, extremely clear, and have great sealability. The films are clear but can be created with matte or white finishes. Due to the material’s moisture-resistant properties, the film is often used in beverage packaging, medical packaging, and as a tamper evident film. BOPP films are also used for lamination, textbook wrappings, adhesive tapes, and flower packaging. They are also used in form, fill, and seal applications as well as pharmaceutical and retail packaging. Moisture resistant:   The film is manufactured by a dual oriented system which pulls the film with a cross-directional technique, increasing the film’s stiffness and tensile strength. The film’s resistance to tears and moisture resistance makes the film one of the most popular worldwide. Chemical resistant:   The film off...
