Polyethylene trading was good, material availability and thus sales continued to improve. After successfully standing down the $.04/lb increase in April, film makers dismiss the likelihood of it taking hold in May. Resin buyers tend to feel that the market peak has passed and there is a chance that some of the $.09/lb implemented in the first quarter will be rescinded. We wait and see. Watch this space.
