Polyethylene


Spot Polyethylene prices started the week firmer, but ended steady and with a negative bias. Sentiment weakened as monomer markets fell and one PE producer postponed their $.04/lb price increase until March; others have yet to follow, but some competitive offers are reportedly being met. Generic Prime railcars have been slow to show, but we anticipate better spot availability ahead.
