ITW Mima Cobra Rebuild by Quick Pak Inc

Here we have a stretch wrapper that was rebuild by Quick Pak's service department.  The cut, clamp and wipe system was rebuilt.  We fabricated and installed the yellow platform to lift the pallets so the wrapper could wrap more of the skid. The customer was using a 115 gauge stretch film and with the rebuilt system the machine is now using a 70 gauge machine film.  That is a 40% savings in film usage.

Spot PE Resin Pricing News  Two Fresh Cracker Disruptions Sends Spot Ethylene Prices Soaring July 08, 2014 CPChem had a fire at its Port Arthur Olefins complex on Monday causing a cracker furnace to be shutdown. Equistar Chemical declared Force Majeure for Ethylene produced at its Laporte Petrochemical complex. Together these disruptions contributed to a sharp rise in spot Ethylene prices, reaching $.60/lb by close of trading on Tuesday.
