Coreless Stretch Film

Why Coreless Stretch Film? Advantages of Coreless The main advantages of HYBRiD Plus 3 Coreless Film innovation to the end user can be summarized as: • Reduced weight of the product when hand wrapping • Reduced weight and volume of the product for shipping • Reduced environmental costs due to removal of cores • Reduced storage space due to smaller product and packaging • No loss of performance • Reduced storage costs, no need to store cores • Reduce transport costs. • Standard rolls can be used in many formats. HYBRiD Plus Coreless rolls will replace the current consumable products already in the market place. This in itself should be a good thing as HYBRiD Plus Coreless has significant environmental advantages in not using cardboard or plastic cores and so removing the costs and environmental problems of waste disposal The new HYBRiD Plus 3 Coreless process – which cuts out the need for a cardboard core in the centre of every roll of film – will be a major su

How can HYBRiD Plus 3 Coreless Stretch Film from Quick Pak Inc help you accomplish your sustainability objectives? Even though stretch film may not be a popular packaging material in some circles, as a lifelong packaging pro, I can confidently say that there are some things that HYBRiD Plus stretch wrap can do at a lower cost and with minimal carbon footprint, compared to other packaging options. When evaluating and comparing different packaging products, we consider material cost, labor cost, waste produced by weight and volume. In most of those comparisons, HYBRiD Plus 3 Coreless stretch film ends up being the best available packaging option when compared to adhesives, tapes, steel strapping or plastic banding options that can all create their own sourcing, application or disposal issues. Making Stretch Film Use as “Green” as Possible? Basically there are three things you can do to make your stretch film usage as environmentally friendly and as low cost as poss

Wide Web Stretch Film from quick pak inc

Wide Web Pallet Stretch Wrap The term “wide web” refers to pallet stretch film larger than 20 inches wide. Many companies choose to use wide web stretch wrap for a variety of reasons. Some are wrapping large objects that require a tall pallet loads. The wide web stretch film enables users to wrap tall pallets with less revolutions and time. This helps to save on both energy costs and film costs. Other users wrap average sized products and pallet loads with the wide stretch wrap rolls to save on film costs and energy costs. Even though the pallet loads are average sizes, the wide stretch wrap rolls enable the less revolutions and time. A 40 inch machine stretch roll requires half of the revolutions and time to wrap a pallet load compared to a 20″ stretch wrap roll. All of our wide web stretch rolls are in stock and can ship same or next day. Ordering full skids of wide rolls are the best option to save on freight costs. One and two roll orders can be expensive because of freight

In addition, IPG ® is reviewing a second resin increase scheduled for October 1, 2013 and will continue to communicate any further changes in a timely fashion. Stretch Film and Shrink Film

Stretch Film vs. Shrink Film, What’s the Difference? It's a common misconception that people believe stretch film and shrink film are the same thing. It's true that both shrink and stretch films are designed to unitize products onto pallets and both are generally made from polyethylene resins. Shrink films are produced on blown film lines and stretch films can be produced on either blown or cast... film lines. Outside of those similarities, the two packaging systems don’t have a lot of other common characteristics. Shrink films contain a high percentage of low density polyethylene (LDPE), which is the same type of resin used to make bread bags and newspaper overwrap sleeves. When fabricated under very specific parameters, LDPE gives shrink film its "shrink". The stress or tension required to make the film contract is frozen in during the fabrication process. To activate shrink film, a heat source is required such as a heat tunnel, heat gun, or torch. When suff

Sigma Stretch Film Increase Notice

Please see attached letter from Dow Chemical Company. This increase is in addition to the previously announced $.05 cpp scheduled for September 1, 2013. It's important to note that this does NOT mean an increase has gone through yet, nor does it mean that either the September $.05 or October $.05 are guaranteed to be implemented. This is typical of the resin manufacturers today. So what does this really mean? That's a very hard question to answer with any level of certainty, but here's my opinion. With respect to domestic (NA) PE pricing, the market has seen an increase the past couple weeks of between $.02 and $.03 cpp on the spot market. This tells us the 'non-contract' processors are paying more because of anticipated tightness in the weeks ahead. Obviously the situation in Syria and Egypt play a part in supply / demand issues on the global market and this will impact pricing domestically and a lot depends on what happens in the weeks ahead. Pricing in Nort
