U.S. prices for polyvinyl chloride (PVC) are set to rise by five cents per pound in the first two months of 2014. This is a significant price increase in a market that will see producers end the year with a net five-cent increase in their 2013 margins, according to Reports.
FOODSERVICE DISTRIBUTION CONSOLIDATION
Sysco and US Foods announced an agreement to merge. The total enterprise value of the transaction is approximately $8.2 billion and the combination has been approved by the Board of Directors of each company. At closing, Sysco will have estimated annual sales of approximately $65 billion.
