That cost considerations are not the only reason to move from steel to plastic PET strapping? Polyester strapping holds certain loads together better than steel. Just apply it with enough tension, and if the load settles, polyester will shrink with the load. When steel bands appear to be loose on pallets, it’s likely because the load has settled. Polyester strapping solves this problem.

Saving Money Using Banding Stretch Film to Ship UPS and FEDEX

Here in this video I have 10 cases I'm shipping out UPS Ground.  The cost is $68 total for the 10 cases.  I used 5" wide Stretch Banding Film by Quick Pak Inc and wrapped the cases in packs of 2.  That took about 5 min and the cost to ship the same 10 cases wrapped in two's cost just over $30 total.
