Stretch film pricing from quick pak inc

Market Update & Summary July 9 th, 2013

I'm receiving numerous calls every day regarding pricing and what to expect down the road so I thought a quick update on that topic may be of interest. I've attached the most recent copy of The Plastics Exchange newsletter for your reference and reading enjoyment. Because it's published weekly, it's usually spot on and gives you a good feel for current market conditions. In short, the resin manufacturers continue to push their $.04 cpp resin price increase that's been on the table for the past couple months. Processors continue to push back and look for some relief in pricing. Although pricing appeared ripe for a couple cent per pound decrease in May and again in June, unplanned outages and supply issues put a damper on those expectations.

As you will read below, July demand for PE resin has been slow and supply tight. There are no clear indicators pointing the direction either way for pricing. It's a 50/50 split which way it will go in the near term. Whatever happens, it appears it will be small movements. I hope this is helpful.

Thank you for your continued business and support.
