Presto Tape was informed Dow Chemical a key acrylic adhesive supplier that emulsions and additives remain volatile - in particular, propylene and acetone costs have recently increased significantly. Dow Chemical is implementing a $0.06 to $0.08/wet lb. increase on acrylic based products.

PE resin prices experienced a surge in February 2014. As a result of these market conditions, all of our polypropylene film suppliers have announced immediate increases $0.04/lb that will take effect in February 2014. The reasons given are sales allocations in the past 60 days. Second, the Polar Vortex and its negative impact on feedstock prices and logistics are causing problems with supply. And third, recent strong exports for certain grades, tell us some material has been hard to find.

The combinations of adhesive and film increases forces Presto Tape to raise it price by 4% effective March 31st, 2014.
