Market Update & Summary Oct 11th, 2011:
Polyethylene prices entered October the same way they ended September - by dropping $.02/lb amid heavy supplies and lower costs. Many of the deals that were available at month end are still offered today, indicating that heavy inventories did not clear. Demand was slow the first week of the month as buyers limited purchases and continue to wait for lower prices. PE producers have yet to officially drop their 6th attempt to implement the now familiar 5c/lb price increase this month. In stark contrast, market sentiment remains decidedly negative..

Saving Money Using Banding Stretch Film to Ship UPS and FEDEX

Here in this video I have 10 cases I'm shipping out UPS Ground.  The cost is $68 total for the 10 cases.  I used 5" wide Stretch Banding Film by Quick Pak Inc and wrapped the cases in packs of 2.  That took about 5 min and the cost to ship the same 10 cases wrapped in two's cost just over $30 total. Product Used:  5" x 80ga x 1000' Stretch Banding Film on 3" cores and 1 plastic handle per case. Handy wrap banding stretch film is made with an extended core for easy maneuvering.
