Resin suppliers to the stretch film industry are implementing the previously announced December 1 increase. They are also strongly indicating there could be additional increases first quarter 2012; one has already been announced for January 1. Rising feedstock costs are given as the primary reason for the increases. US Stretch Film Producer December 2011 Polyethylene Resin Price Increase Effective January 1, 2012 - Effective January 1, 2012, The Dow Chemical Company (Dow) will increase the selling price of all polyethylene resins in the United States by US$0.07/lb. This increase is in addition to all previously announced price increases.
